The “Party Rock” anthem just got a Latin twist.

LMFAO singer Sky Blu made his way up and down the green carpet at the Latin GRAMMYs with a new look to match his new projects with the Latino community, with whom he says he has a “special relationship.”

The awards ceremony took over Sin City at the Mandalay Bay resort on Thursday.

“I’ve always been mistaken for being Latino,” Sky Blu told Fox News Latino. “The LMFAO fan base at the beginning was all Latino. I was like ‘man, these are great people.’ In L.A. we would perform all the time [and] we had the biggest Latin American following.”

Sky Blu, whose real name is Skylar Gordy, was ecstatic to be performing with his friends, the Latin GRAMMYs winners for best new artist 3BallMTY.

“3ballMTY are friends of mine and we did a special remix to “Inténtalo,” he said, adding that they “became like family” after meeting and hanging out.

“I’m coming out there to rock with my friends and it’s going to be a great time,” Sky Blu told Fox News Latino. “I’m honored and inspired.”

With the recent news that LMFAO, made up of Redfoo (Stefan Kendal Gordy) and Sky Blu, have decided to take a break and work on separate projects for the meantime, Sky Blu says he will be debuting an album for his Latino fans.

“I’m coming out with a Spanish record,” he said. “[There will be a] big person in the song. Everything is going great. It’s time for new beginnings. I got to start fresh.”

Sky Blu says that because he is turning the page to begin writing a new chapter in his life, he needed his physical appearance to match his new creative journey.

“People only know you for your hair and that’s when it has to go,” Sky Blu said about his new look. “People’s got to know me for me. I’ll grow it back out and they going to see that’s Sky Blu right there,” he added with a chuckle.  [Fox]
