Romeo Santos doesn’t plan on running out of his secret formula for success anytime soon. The bachata singer’s debut album, Formula Vol. 1, has officially become Billboard‘s number one Latin selling album of the year. The album, which spawned hits like “You” and “All Aboard,” managed to hit the Billboard 200 for four consecutive weeks and topped the Tropical and Latin Album charts.
The Bronx native has also made his round at award shows. He won MTV’s “Best Latino Artist of 2012” and Billboard‘s “Top Latin Album of the Year” on top of a for “Best Tropical Latin Album.” His sold-out shows will continue to hit-up cities throughout the U.S. in 2013.
Besides working on a television pilot, Romeo released The King Stays King: Sold Out at the Madison Square Garden DVD showcasing his sold-out shows in New York City.
