From what we have gathered, this incident took place at the Elmhurst, Queens Starbucks located on 86-51 Broadway location. Customer Ruby Chen placed a Frappuccino order with store manager Melissa. Allegedly, Ruby failed to hear another Starbucks employee ask her the name for the order because she was trying to open up her Starbucks reward app which slowed the line. This was when Melissa started to shout at her saying “Hellooooo?! . . .”
At this point the situation had escalated to Melissa refusing to scan Ruby’s phone or let her pay she later told her to leave and never come back.
Watch the video to see how the whole thing went down. This is no way for anyone to be treated let alone a paying customer. There is this thing called having a bad, and we get that concept, but this epic display of losing your shit over a slight halt in your line is just outright you being an a-hole. Shame on you Melissa. Learn patience and respect it goes a long way.
